This policy explains how personal data is handled when you browse ezles.dev. The short version: this site collects as little as possible. No ads, no trackers, no analytics, no account, and nothing is sold or shared for marketing.

Controller.

Who's responsible

The site is published and operated by Enzo Sery, freelance full-stack developer based in Strasbourg, France. For anything related to your data, write to contact@ezles.dev.

01

Data.

What's collected

The site itself stores no personal data. There is no account system, no newsletter and no analytics script.

When you use an email link, your own email application opens (a mailto link), and the site transmits and stores nothing in that process. If you then choose to email me, I receive the data you decide to include: your email address, your name if you sign with it, and the content of your message.

No trackers

No analytics, no ads, no fingerprinting. Nothing runs in your browser to watch what you do.

Your emails

The only personal data I ever hold is what you choose to send me by email.

02

Purpose.

Why it's processed

Emails you send me are used solely to answer your request and follow up on our exchange. This relies on pre-contractual steps taken at your request and my legitimate interest in responding (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f)).

Technical server logs are processed to keep the site online, fast and secure (legitimate interest, GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

03

Hosting.

Infrastructure and logs

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N. Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. As a hosting provider, Vercel processes standard connection logs (IP address, browser user agent, requested pages, timestamps) on my behalf to deliver and secure the site.

US transfers

Data may be processed in the United States. Vercel relies on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses to cover these transfers.

04

Third parties.

External content

No third-party scripts run on this site. Fonts and technology logos are self-hosted and served from ezles.dev, so no request is made to Google Fonts, a CDN, or any other font or icon service.

Links to GitHub and LinkedIn take you to those sites, which have their own policies. I don't receive anything from that visit.

05

Cookies.

On your device

The site sets no cookies whatsoever: no advertising, no analytics, no language or theme cookie.

Your language lives in the URL (/en/ or /fr/), not on your device. A session flag may remember that you have already seen the intro animation; it stays on your device, identifies nothing, and disappears when you close the tab.

06

Retention.

How long data lives

Emails are kept for as long as needed to handle our exchange, and at most three years after our last contact, then deleted. Hosting logs are retained by Vercel for short technical periods defined in its own policy.

07

Your rights.

What you can ask

Under the GDPR you can ask for access to, rectification or erasure of your data, request restriction of processing, object to it, and receive your data in a portable format. Since the only data I hold is the emails you sent me, the simplest path is to write to contact@ezles.dev. I will act on any request without undue delay.

Complaints

If you believe your rights are not respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French supervisory authority (cnil.fr).

08

Changes.

Policy updates

This policy may evolve if the site's features change. The date at the top of this page always reflects the latest version.
